Last Day

Posted on July 4, 2006

We all had lumps in our throats on Thursday as we prepared for “Dama” and “Grangon” to go. It was a perfect visit (despite the alternating humidity and state of emergency torrential downpours). In one of those actions that your kids do that literally slices you to the core, Briar still goes to the door and looks for “Dama” and “Grangon” to come back. Debbie’s Park

Disclaimer: This post contains more jarring profanity than most. I am not kidding. Shing.Fawn.Shwing.Sha-wings. Fawn.WeeeFun.Fun, wee.Yay, fun shwings. All that and she never actually wants to go on the swings. I should also say that lately, and it’s probably paranoia on our part, but just about every word she says that begins with the letter ‘s’ sounds like “shit” and, not that she actually says a lot of words that begin with ‘f’, but when she does, I’ll be damned if they don’t all sound like ‘fuck’. A very, Avery.” So there you have it. And here are some pics of Avery’s sweet face.

This post title sounds like it’s going to be about peeing. Not so. As much as I do find myself talking more than necessary about poopie diapers and the like, this is not about pee. It has been hot. Really hot. Ok, it’s been like stupid hot. Stupid, muggy, miserable hot. So we have been doing whatever possible to keep cool. Basically it adds up to a whole lot of playing with the hose. Briar was showing off for her grandparents in the puddles left behind by the hose. They were appropriately fascinated with her water art. Stay tuned for a later post with examples of her mayo art.
