Dinner by Chef Kid

Mama, sit down and don't worry about dinner. I'll
make you a dish.

Mommy, what's this cheese called? American? O.k.
first we're going to break this up into little pieces.

Visiting grandfather beats hasty retreat
to his car.

Now we need pepperoni, also broken up into little
pieces.

Now some peanut butter and top it off with cut
bananas!

Mom, doesn't this look dee-lish?

Mom? Why are you pouring so much wine in your glass?

Allison is not a cook and her children's "cooking" are
either the mark of incredible creativity or a
desperate attempt to make a feast. The three future
Julia Childs are nearly 7-year-old twin boys and a
three-year-old girl. Allison is usually winking over
at Soccer Mom In Denial , and that is
where you can find the lovely Amanda. Do check out
other exchanges at The Blog Exchange.

And for the record, she ate "the dish".

hahahahaha! Oh, man, how many "creations" like this have I been subject to? I remember one in particular that my daughter and her best friend created with flour, water, garlic powder and parsley flakes. They called it "cupcakes" and no amount of wine could have coaxed me into choking that down. I pretend ate, while the friend's dad actually swallowed! Now, that's dedication!

SMID, you made me laugh out loud. I think now I shall go spread some peanut butter on pepperoni and have some breakfast!

You are a good mom! We haven't hit that phase yet, but I'll remember the wine tip :)

A--what a fun way to start my Sunday, picturing you choking that down! You know, I missed the Exchange because I spaced out on the deadline while you were on vacation...next month.

Good luck with the next "meal". Maybe they were instictively trying to make up for your lack of culinary leanings. Maybe? Love, Ken

This sounds like something my grandfather would have eaten - after dunking it in coffee. Can't believe your dad ran off!

Hello hostess extraordinaire!

Thank you for letting me wink and nod at your place. Particularly over that lovely, lovely photo celebrating your anniversary. I do feel like I've brought down the classiness a little!

See you around.

I can't stop laughing about the wine in the glass part. This weekend at the grocery store I bought a 12-pack of beer for my husband and Dawson said, "Mumma, dats Daddy's beer." Like I'm not supposed to have any or something. ;)

Someone told me once about some scrambled eggs mixed with strawberry jell-o - all served up on green construction paper on a dinner plate. The red and green were to make it look pretty! :)
