Ok, I understand the reality that not all clothes fit the same, that is to say, a size 10 by company x might fit like a 10, while a size 10 from another brand fits like a 6 or a 16. I try things on, I squat and twist, bend and peek around at the backside, but I’ll be damned if I wait ten minutes to figure out if they fit or not.
Here’s the description of a pair of pants in one of the catalogs that came in today’s mail:
Runs small, order one size larger. Need to wear pants at least 10 minutes for proper fit; body heat molds stretch fabric to the body. Should fit snugly on the waist and hips with no pulls or baggy fabric.
Ummm, wtf?

What crazy catalog is that?!
I'm with damselfly, dying to know which company tells you that?!? If I have to wait 10 minutes for my pants to fit, I usually spend that time hunting down the husband who dried my jeans on hot…
Yeah, moms of three have 10 minutes to wait for clothes to fit.
This is hilarious. 10 minutes to see if they fit?? I would like to buy the pants only so I can do a time-lapse and see how they 'mold' to my body. Crazy! Can you imagine how long it would take tryig to find a pair of jeans that fit if it took 10 minutes, I know I try on 649 pairs to find ONE that fits right.
Kind of like shrink wrap for Easter eggs.
hilarious!! like we have ten minutes to see if something fits properly!!
and lovin the new hair friend!
I wouldn't even try it! You know they won't fit for sure 🙂
Funny…I read the same thing on a package of condoms last week.
ahhhh welcome to my retail hell
Um, weird. And my experience with spandex-laced pants (like jeans) is that they get looser, not tighter.
how funny. ten minutes?? weirdos…
I'm pretty sure I could tell in 7.
and those pants I would not buy
OK, first of all, I have to order it one size bigger. What kind of psychological torture is that? And then I have to stand around for 10 minutes trying to figure out if it fits? Who wrote this catalog? The anti-sales and marketing dept??
For the record it was Sierra Trading Post, but I have since thrown it away so I can't share the brand of pants.
