Yesterday I wrote about my emotions regarding Briar starting school and today, though no less intense, I am writing about someone else’s. I don’t presume to know how Briar feels as I write about our lives, though sometimes I imagine I might. I hope that one day she and her sisters will look back on this space and be grateful for the things that have been recorded, if only in some instances to shed light on why we are the way that we are.
Today I knew how her dad was feeling—
Briar was indisputably radiant.
And ready.
And her dad was more in love with her than ever before.
You have been taking our breath away since the day you were born.

That is the greatest picture! Is there anything better than watching your man with your little ladies? Makes you dig 'em even more.
Nicely done mom.
That's so lovely. We totally know this feeling as my eldest just started school this week too. I posted something quite similar.
To a very good year for the little lady.
Oh! That last photo is amazing – it made me teary for you. Being surrounded by so much love is a fortunate, fortunate way to live 🙂
You know how I feel about fathers and daughters. Heart string tuggers to the nth degree.
i am so proud of all three of you!
a huge moment 🙂
Oh Amanda she looks so confident! Job well done.
ooooof. My heart.
I can see why you love that man. What a great moment to capture.
Yeah. I wasn't trying to keep my heart from Jumping out of my chest, here.
Clearly, I was giving her the sign to steal second base.
It's just baseball. There's no crying in baseball.
This just makes me weep with the amount of love jumping out of the picture. I can't wait to be part of that kind of magic someday.
oh, sniff.
Yeah, got me teary.
My heart just melted into a little pile of goo.
Wow… what a shot… tears fell.
Gulp.
Wonderful.

She was radiant…perfect.
That morning, I woke up at 4 am. . . sure that I was LATE getting Peter ready for school. Guess what? I am 55 yrs. old. Peter? 28. I love the fact that our unconscious mind stores time periods and important memories, and – at times… gifts us with such beauty. I cried when I realized that, indeed, Peter is now an adult, about to marry. And that time period was from almost 25 years ago for me. The best time of my life.
Amanda… my blog… sort of. http://www.bluelinebydesign.blogspot.com… you will see a photo of my niece. I kept the blog, and hiked the ADKs – to send photos and videos to her while she was in the hospital, unable to experience the outdoors much her last 6 months. I don't write in it much any more. And have moved… bringing the stillpoint of experiences gained, because of her brief life, with me. Jamie taught me how to do cartwheels again, before she became ill. She was a gymnast.
My son just turned 13 and daughter 8.
Everyday I wish they would just stay my babies, and everyday I am amazed at how they grow.
Ah, such is life.
Indisputably radiant. Absolutely.
What a sweet photograph.
