You ever look at a picture of yourself and think, “Do I really look like that?” Sean was taking happy, rumpled Easter morning pics and as I scanned them I thought, “Damn, that looks like a stunt belly.”
It’s a study in strained stretch cotton.
After I got over the shock of just how how my belly looks in profile, I caught a glimpse of this next shot wherein I perform an impromptu Easter version of The Supremes “Stop in the Name of Love” complete with ridiculous gesturing.
Then, ever questing to entertain and delight the girls, I tried my hand at playing Vanna White.
Eventually the mixture of horror and confusion on their faces got me to calm down.
Happy Easter!

awww. look how perfectly adorable you *4* are! so cute.
What a healthy baby you are growing in there, Mama! You look fabulous, of course, and I think that baby is just about cooked, judging from your belly button! š
You look great!
Amanda. You look beautiful. No joke.
You look great… even without a shower;)
I usually don't look as pulled together as I did this am BUT I got up before everyone else and got myself ready today. I was feeling inspired:)
I had the same basketball up the shirt look.
What a happy post. You ARE adorable.

I love love love the belly shots! I can't imagine ever being pregnant without extra padding on my arms and hips and well .. you get the picture. You look babylicious!
Adorable, you and the girls! Looks like a fun Easter morning:) Your belly is too perfect.
I can only hope that I look as beautiful in 5 months. I think you look gorgeous!
BTW the kitchen just looks AWESOME!
so how is it that you are allowed to be so cute?
I never looked that good pregnant or not! LOL! You look adorable. The girls do not look traumatized by your performances in the least! š
Oh mah holy hell (I probably shouldn't say that on Easter Sunday) – look at you!
Absolutely beautiful.
(psst. I tagged you.)
Your belly is beautiful. I was even jealous of it for a second there.
Assertagirl
you and your stunt belly look awesome together. happy easter to you and all the family. š
Post-flu and very pregnant and SO LOVELY.
Wow.
Take care. I can't wait to read about your baby girl soon.
You're gorgeous, in all of your belly-licious splendour.
Belly button and all…you look amazing.
Priceless!
I LOVE the kitchen!
How cute! You look FABULOUS! You're one of those women who leave the maternity ward wearing their regular jeans, right?
You guys are cute – and you are a TEENY TINY pregnant woman!
Ok. A few things strike me about these pictures:
1. You look the way I WISH I looked when I was pregnant. You look great! Protruding button and all.
2. The girls look gleefully happy!
3. I LOVE your new kitchen/dining room. SO Much better than the old. Incidentally, what is the name of the paint on the blue wall and the wall by the dining room door. I just might have to pick some up for my own dreary and outdated kitchen.
4. And it won't be long now before your foursome is more like a small tribe of people. Can't wait to see her!
Ya'll know how to make a gal blush, and for that matter how to make a dad breathe a sigh of relief. To say that I've been a bit fragile and testy of late would be an understatement. Your sweet words and shared excitement means more than you can know. I am looking forward to celebrating the arrival of our third little princess (Briar's word, not mine) with you all soon. I am sure I'll be doing the post wearing maternity pants, but thanks for the compliment, Lisa and Beck…I ordered a pair of XL maternity pants two months ago and when I tried to pull them on they made sausage slurping sounds. It was a truly exceptional moment in my life that I'll never forget.
And, in answer to the wall color question, the blue is called "Blue Willow" and was purchased at Lowes. The lighter color is called "Heavy Cream." I'll post more shots once we have countertops, perhaps you noticed the plywood we currently have? Also still to do: purchase light fixtures, cabinet hardware went in this weekend. Yay!
You do look pretty cute pregnant. I looked tired.
Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving such a nice comment. I think Emma is a doll, too.
That is one incredible belly! It's been almost eight years since my dear wife looked like that. While she would smack me for saying, I miss those days.
You are one cute pregnant chic!
Stunt belly, hee hee! You are so entertaining.
