What’s a mama?

Posted on May 11, 2007

My sweet, sweet girls. You want to know what makes me a mama? What makes me your mama? Climb up here and let me hold you while I tell you how I got to be your mom. First I’m going to whisper a secret: I’ve always been your mom. Even before you were growing inside of my belly, I was your mama. I started getting ready for you when I was a little girl. I practiced playing in the dirt and finding faeries in the garden so I could show you how to do it. I learned about swinging on the bars and skipping rocks in rivers so we’d have fun things to do.
